Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Glow: Daily Firefly Puzzle ("Glow", "we", "our", or "the app") handles information when you use our mobile application (package com.glowpuzzle.daily). We designed Glow to work without an account and to store game progress locally on your device.

1. Controller

The publisher of Glow is the developer listed on the Google Play store listing for this app.

2. Information we collect

We collect limited information in the following ways:

  • On-device game data — puzzle progress, streaks, settings, and statistics stored locally via your device storage (SharedPreferences). This data is not transmitted to our servers because Glow has no backend account system.
  • Advertising data — if you use the free version, Google AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, ad interaction data, and similar information to deliver and measure ads. See Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
  • In-app purchases — purchases are processed by Google Play. We receive confirmation that a purchase occurred (e.g. remove ads, hint pack) but we do not receive your payment card details.
  • Support email — if you email us, we receive the information you choose to send (email address, message content).

3. Information we do not collect

Glow does not require registration. We do not ask for your name, postal address, or phone number in the app. We do not knowingly collect precise location for our own purposes.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide and save your game experience on your device
  • Deliver rewarded ads and optional banner ads (free users)
  • Grant in-app purchases and restore non-consumable entitlements
  • Respond to support requests
  • Improve the app and comply with legal obligations

5. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

Where GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the app), legitimate interests (security, analytics via ad partners, fraud prevention for IAP), consent (personalized ads where required via Google UMP/consent forms), and legal obligation.

6. Third-party services

Glow integrates:

  • Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) — advertising
  • Google Play Billing — in-app purchases
  • Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) — ad consent where required

7. Data retention

Local game data remains on your device until you clear app storage or uninstall the app.

Ad and purchase partners retain data according to their own policies.

Support emails are kept only as long as needed to resolve your request.

8. Your rights

Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, delete, or object to certain processing.

For local app data: use your device settings to clear storage or uninstall Glow.

For ad personalization: use in-app consent settings and your device advertising ID controls (Settings → Google → Ads on Android).

Contact support@glowpuzzle.app for other requests. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Children

Glow is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International transfers

Third-party providers such as Google may process data in countries outside your own. Google provides appropriate safeguards as described in its policies.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the bottom of this page will change. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
